Hi all, i've just switched from fc4 to gentoo and i was hoping someone could share some insight as to which build works best with this distro?

I am guessing you figured it out by now but just in case…the obvious choice would be to use the only 64bit version of houdini and that is for the Debian distro. It runs fine here.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I downloaded the 64-bit version, installation went fine, but I ran into an error when trying to run hkey.

Server shutdown started.

Could not connect to licence server.

I then recieved an X message saying 'License error:incorrect version of hserver running.

Any ideas on whats wrong?
