I would like to replicate the behavior of the sop level switch node on a custom hda. The active input is drawn in a solid line, the other / remaining are shown as dotted. Is there a way to do so via python or some hda options I've been missing ?

in HDA Type Properties/Input_Output tab you can check Is Reference next to the input to make it's connecting lines show dotted
this doesn't have any effect on the behavior, it's purely visual
so if you need certain inputs to always draw as dotted lines, this is a way
however I don't know if it's possible to alter this dynamically for HDAs or just for HDK based nodes like Switch SOP
