Projecting color map on Fur.

Soo i've been trying th last 2 days to get my fur working with color map i gave it in subst painter.

with the torus they project an UV on the torus and one in the groom node with an attr from map with a link to a colormap.

So, the difficulty i have is that I import a static object already with a proper uv layout, and it doesn't work on it's own uv set.

Then with an extra uvtexture node and set to uniform spline or modify source, it keeps the uv's i had intact and it guves me an uv attribute. I put the same node in the groom area with the attrfrommap node and it doesn't work like this.

on the hairgen attr tab i have uv on th guide point attr and width uv on the output point attr and also id on primitive output attr.

Any help or suggestions would be very helpfull.
