Hi everyone,
sorry for my english.
i imported a geometry from solidworks in to houdini.
i use a “normal node” for remove artefact.. then it's ok.
Now, i need a bump for brushed metal, when i make this, there are plenty of artifacts in my geometry.

i tried a lot things, but nothing change.

there is a method for removing artefact?

Someone have an idea?

thank you for your help.

Best regards.

You'll have to post your hip so we can look at it and make suggestions.

Just a note: if your uploading the hip and that is using a file node to import the file from SolidWorks for your scene.

Connect a stash node after file node and load it with the file node data by clicking on the stash input button. (wouldn't hurt either to ctrl-click on the stash node lock flag as well.)

On another point - if the file your importing into your scene is very big, the hip file you try to upload might take some time to upload here(because of the stash node).

If that is the case, you might want to try reducing the size of original file so that it still reproduces the same issue.
