I want to achieve the explosive effect in this video 0:08s. I have seen a lot of tutorials online, but now there are two more problems:

1.How to make the shape of the jet at the beginning of the explosion.

2.How to keep the fireball rolling.

It looks like its emitting and trailing behind the aircraft away from camera.
Also these effects look like geometry with animated shaders… probably with frame-by-frame keyframing of the emitter shapes.
