I am wondering if anyone has any suggestion on how I could go about achieving a good spaceship thrusters effect for my shot?
I was thinking about doing a pyro sim but maybe that's overkill. I'm looking to achieve mostly a bright glow with some movement that conveys the massive energy being output.
The Prometheus engines are a good visual reference for what I'm going for, they're not overly bright but still present with a good amount of definition. I don't want anything that looks too cartoony or simply like a just put a point light in place and turned the brightness to 1000.
I would love any insight, especially from anyone who has tackled this already with good results.
paint area scatter particles scatter on geometry pyrooo particles scale and coverage scale should be too low voxel size should be high more fuel also turn thrusters as static object so pyro wont go out
Thank you Matt, looks cool. So what exactly is the Attribute Wrangle's function?
P.S.
Been toying with the Pyro sim also getting some decent results after some tweaking. I'm sure there's a more efficient way to achieve this result than what I have on my node tree, but if anyone wants to take a look here it is:
