Hello everyone,
I am trying to wrap my head around kineFX and to start using it for all character setup and animation work.
Decided to go with the simple tutorials first and started to watch Mr. Parker Colemans' KineFX 101... ( bigup to Mr. Parker...)
And I run into problem right away
I downloaded character from Mixamo, to carbon copy the tutorial workflow first...
Made a simple network, and got those wacky results... From what I see it has to do something with scales and centering everything to world center...But I have zero clue how could I make it work.
Here are some screenshots to illustrate the problem.
Hope someone will recognize what I did wrong or didn't do at all
Thanks in advance.
KineFX and FBX torments :)

Hey,
Thanks for the quick reply...
And sure.. Here's the pack with both: mixamo model and mocap file.
Update is that it works with animation/m.capture freshly downloaded from mixamo... However, it doesn't with this file for some reason.
So rumba dancing is working, country_bells does not.
Thanks in advance.

the reason it doesn't work is because the skeletons between the character and the mocap do not match. Since the rumba dancing has the same skeleton, it works fine. You would need to follow a retargeting tutorial like this:

Basically, you would map the character's skeleton to points on the new mocap.
