Does Houdini have a feature that cuts a polygon using a polygon or primitive using a spline as a templet?
IN C4D you can import a spline form illustrator then use it to cut a poly to make very specific cuts. Process would be to position spline in position very near the face's surface the click the spline with an ctrl+RMB using the cut tool, and the cut on the poly would be the shape of the spline.

Hi,

You can use Poly Split SOP and provide your cutter curve into the second input, though if the curve is moving you might get artifacts, and it only supports a single cutter curve at a time so you have to loop over your curves if you have multiple.
