Problem referencing materials in a Substance archive

I'm trying to get a HDA working with Substance Designer materials in Unity. My SBSAR file contains two materials. In my HDA I've set 2 primitive attributes "unity_material" (set to the relative path of the SBSAR) and "unity_sub_material_name" (set to it's name under the SBSAR asset) but it always seems to assign the first material in the SBSAR regardless what I set unity_sub_material_name to. Anybody else come across this problem?
