UVPelt multiple islands

Is it possible in Houdini to unwrap an object that consists of multiple polygon islands with a UV-Pelt ?

I'm trying to unwrap some pieces of clothing with separate parts, but when using UV-Pelt only the first island is unwrapped. And when I try to select the edge seam on another island, Houdini often crashes.

Here's a screengrab with a test setup to show what I mean; only the first sphere is unwrapped, even though the Edge Cut Group incudes the other spheres. And when I manually select an Edge Cut Group on the last sphere, Houdini crashes to the desktop.

Is this a bug ?

Hey toonafish,

why not put the UV pelt in a for each connected piece loop. after that a UV layout.

Hey thanks. Unfortunately as soon as I add another uvpelt and select an edgeloop on the second or third island I get a Segmentation error and Houdini crashes to the desktop.

Yes I can confirm its buggy. Thats why I said put it in a loop. put all seems in a group first. than loop over each piece and apply the pelt.

ah, I see thanks. The magic of Houdini...

I already solved it by unwrapping in XSI, but good to now.

Cheers.
