Camera pan messes up particle sim

Hello guys.

I have a particle sim going straight down and an animated camera doing a simple pan. So far so good. Problem is the particles seem to make a curve towards the end of shot. The also appear to be lower than actually are. Is there any tricks to avoid this? I mean is there a way to make the particle sim go straight or at least appear to go straight avoiding this camera issue? Thanks.
