If I am using the same scene elements, is the performance under the hood identical between an Object network LOPNET vs a Solaris stage?

Thanks

It should be identical.

yes, should be the same
/stage is just an oldschool type of context location under the / root
while you can use those, they feel a bit inconsistent and in my opinion using /stage, /mat, /rop, ... just makes it more difficult to port the setups or wrap them under a single subnet in the future

however it's just that, a location, so whether you place your LOPs directly under /stage or inside of any LOPnet node it should not affect the performance of the network

Hope the root folder is editable that could make more organizable.

For legacy reasons there are some differences in how the root is handled and also how different network types are handled. For example you still need a separate topnet in the /tasks context, but not a separate ropnet in the /out context.

Slightly annoying in an OCD way but I would be surprised if this changes any time soon.
