I have two passions: 3d and make-up!
It's been quite a challenge to create such an advertising-style shot in just a few hours. I've spent a long time tweaking the vellum grains and solver parameters to get the simulation look corresponding to my art direction intention. The sim is then uprez and combo-ed with vellum brush (following what I learned yesterday). I could not get the pscale randomizations to register in Solaris and Karma as I do in Redshift so I need to further investigate.
It's been also an opportunity to play with vellum hair and their procedural creation - again everything is procedural including the modeling, driven by a specific art direction.
I will probably continue this shot as soon as I have more time, adding more elements and render an animation.
