Hello!

I recently did a high resolution fire simulation but when rendering there are these stripes that stick out. Im using Karma XPU in Solaris using a Karma Pyro shader to shade the fire. No matter what I do to the material the stripes persist. I would assume its something to do with the resolution of the simulation but its already rather high res imo. A 5 second sim with 110 million voxels that takes up a good 180GB on my disk. I cant really keep cranking up the resolution as it just makes the stripes smaller.

Ive tried my best making them less noticeable with motion blur and stuff but they stick out to much. Im relatively new to Houdini so im not sure exactly what the issue could be ^^"

I would guess that is the influence of shredding on your simulation. Check your Shape tab and reduce the value or turn it off.
Using Houdini Indie 20.0
Windows 11 64GB Ryzen 16 core.

There is no shredding already
