hello, if got a question and i have no clue if its basic or not.
i started working with houdini 5 days ago.

i'm tryng to create a tool that can cut up geomatry for me for dynamic simulation.

(i know i'm tryng to do andvanced stuff for a beginner at houdini, but this is strangly always the way i learn throw myself into the deep.)

now if been brouwsing thrue the node refrence and example files ect.
and came across the Iso surface node.
this node can take in either a expression or a 3d texture.

and now i want to slap in a 3d texture, but i have no clue how either to create one ore refrence it from another network (shop network if im right).

sadly i can't find anything in the example files.

do you guys know were i can find a tutorial or example witch shows you way of creating procedual 3dimage files?

thank you for your time, Tamis van der Laan.

In houdini 8 there is a little tutorial on how to create and render volumetrics. You can find it in the help at this location

hdox//houdini/content/base/tutorials/fm_10_guide_effects_1022337.html

have fun.
