Hello,
Wondering if there was any information about procedurally driving controls in APEX (with expressions)? With apex, you can't drive any of the controls in the channel widget with expressions (I know there is a good reason why, just need to understand APEX better). The first gif is my rig and the motion I want (I was just dragging the control in the viewport to simulate the motion), second gif represents how I would normally do this animation, with a simple sin/cos expression. Some things I looked at:
1. I know I can use apex control extract, get the kinefx skeleton and use a rig pose sop, use an expression, then convert back to channel primitives and ingest it back in apex.
2. I saw some of the stuff that ESTHER TRILSCH was doing with here [youtu.be] but that is more setting up the procedural functionality in the rig and seems too overpowered to do the simple animation I need.
Is there a better method than using the apex control extract to kinefx, using the rig pose etc, then converting to channel prims and adding the animation into the scene?
Thanks

Hi, here is an example of how you can set that up in apex.
This was very helpful, there was just one thing I didn't understand. What is this key "time_input". I cannot find that anywhere in the docs. Is that property able to get the global time? Is that listed somewhere in the docs?
Thanks
