Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an instant, silent crash on startup with Houdini 22.0 (tested both 22.0.368 and 22.0.386, including the Py311 build).
The splash screen appears for a split second and then closes without throwing a visible error.
The crash logs generated in %TEMP%/houdini_temp remain at 0 KB, meaning Houdini is being killed before it can write a log.

System Specs:
CPU: AMD Threadripper

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (Driver version: 610.74)

OS: Windows 11 Insider Preview (Build 10.0.26200 / Kernelbase 10.0.26100)

Windows Event Viewer Log:
Every time I launch houdini.exe, Windows logs the following Application Error (Event 1000):

Faulting Application Name: houdini.exe

Faulting Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll

Exception Code: 0xe06d7363 (Visual C++ Runtime Exception)

Faulting Offset: 0x00000000000c1ada


Has anyone encountered this specific issue on Windows Insider build?

I see on this page [superuser.com], another person is experiencing a crash with the same offset on the same version of the Insider build. It's possible there's an issue with this version of the OS.

Please note that Windows Insider builds are not supported.
