I'm trying to follow the chops tutorials in the blog area with houdini 9.

I can import the geometry into the chopnet, but I cannot see the function curves as displayed. In another tutorial a simple noise node is created and immediatly the noise function is visible in the channel editor. But I cannot see anything.

It looks like in the attached image. There seems to be something very simple what I'm missing. Maybe anyone can help me?

The problem is that CHOPs does not use the Channel Editor. It uses the Motion View to display information. Changing your view to Motion View or Context View will display the data from the Noise CHOP.

Thank you. I'm still learning a lot.

The big difference there is that the CHOPs use samples to work with the channel data, and the channel editor uses vectors (keyframes etc).
