When inside a geo node it is possible to template geometry ..but when you go up a level out of sops the geo dissapears…is it possible to get the same behaviour as the camera so that when you go to the top level the geo displays as if it were templated (in wireframe) as per camera?
any help, as always, would be gratefully appreciated.

Not sure if its what you need, but you can go into an object and add an ends sop and set it to “unroll” this will make any polygon object always display in wireframe.

Ends SOP with the unroll option was added just for this purpose.

There is an existing RFE to have per object shading. No word when it will be implemented.
There's at least one school like the old school!
