An annoying problem recently came up in 5.5, and I imagine it may occur in 6 as well. The op names, which generally reside next to the op tiles in a network pane, have disappeared.

The list mode ('t') shows the names, but they don't appear next to the tiles. This is non-named state is now true whenever Houdini is launched.

Where is the menu option which turns these on/off?

Hey Andy, type ‘d’ in your op network pane, and check ‘Show Operator Names’.

A faster way is to just hit “n”…
