This will export a Houdini .chan file from the selected item. The order of the channels on a mesh item is:
pos rot scl
The order of the channels on a camera item is:
pos rot Focal_Length Aperture FocusDist F-Stop
On PC you'll have to rename the file from *.txt to *.chan manually.

I'm pretty new to houdini, but I'm an old modo user.
I wrote this script to get camera animation into houdini.
All tough I'm having a problem when importing the chan file and export it to the camera, the camera moves perfectly. But my 3d view port spins around like crazy, only the 3d view port, not the top view or side view. so is there a solution to this in houdini? can I maybe bake the motion some how?

Hmmm …. Try appending a default Transform CHOP to your File CHOP before exporting.

hey edward. thanks for your replay.
however, this didn't make any difference. if i scrub the timeline my 3d viewport still flicker around.
and also, if i hit play, nothing happens, but, if i hit play and i drag around the mouse in circles, it will play.
i'm under osx.

thanks

Ah, well, that's a different issue then. If you lock the File CHOP, does it still reproduce? If so, then you should submit a bug. Use the Support > Submit H9 Bug link above along with your .hip file.
