Smoothing body surface

Hi
I was trying to smoothing surfaces from a boxy image that i started from a box to build up a human body. I finished one half and mirrored it then tried to subdivide, divide and smooth the surface. But, it looks funky and wild. Can any one help me please?

“funky and wild” is unfortunately not easy to diagnose as it doesn't offer any concrete clues as to what is actually wrong (though, to be fair, sounds like something I would say).

Can you post a screenshot?

Yeah, you need to delete the inner most faces in order for the mirrored edges to consolidate correctly.

I've added a delete sop (colored in red) to your hip file for reference.

It opens fine.

Try opening the file with Houdini instead of clicking on it and letting the OS open it with whatever default programme it is using.
