I am confused about the different ways that the tutorials refer to attaching Nodes:
'Append', “MMB branch append” etc.
Is there somewhere in the docs that describes how to accomplish these different methods and how they are different?

Yup - it's a little buried in there, but it's there.

Look at the acrobat file accessed from the main help page “Reference Manual/Interface”. On page 174/Network Editor/Op Tiles/Other Op Tile Components. *Phew*

The htmls are a great intro to some concepts, but once you've played around a bit I strongly recommend looking at some of these basic pdf files to get this sort of essential navigation info.

I guess my intial problem was with the word ‘append’, why not just ‘attach’?
I kinda like this new word and have even started using it in conversation ))
Anyway thanks again for the pointer and i will surely work my way through the PDF's.

Actually, “append” is accurate - it's an operation that will do two things: create a new op and attach it. “Attach” is something you do with two already-existing OPs.

prepend = before
