Im glad you found it useful! Right now im working on a digital asset to view de parameters used in a simulation inside the viewport (for flipbooks). Here is an early screeshot:

for further rendered images! Don't use a black background! Very, very hard to see the smoke effects on some images!

Yeap, I uploaded the otl to the Houdini Exchange section here in Side Effects .

Right about the black background for tests! i´ll keep that in mind! Thanks

After installing the asset, add it to any shelf for quick access. Remember that to view the chart you have to configure it with the references to the nodes. It wont appear if those parameters are empty. Hope this helps you!

well after looking your post and in my way to learn Houdini i decided to make a try it.

i cache the low and higher Pyro, and just with default settings.

but in the preview everything look cool with the smoke, but when i render, or viewport render, it looks very very weird, just like a lot of fire.

see how his timeline is doubled on the bottom pic? that looks like an opengl error and would be a problem with this computer, drivers or vid card.

please see my jpeg here.

i've typed what settings i think you intend for the effect shown pic 14.

as the cells don't quite line up directly below 14 i think you mean
the setting cell MOSTLY under the column pic 14.

am i reading your chart correctly?

really like the inferface idea. Works better with a seperate camera linked to a specific scene pane!

Would be interesting to see it as a python script, triggering it from a node on the pyro solver or an independent dop, in a seperate window for example. But not really necessary at this point

These examples look great…I'd love to check them out, but I don't see this worksheet that is supposedly attached…??

*edit* Ah…nevermind…just had to log in…lol ops:

Hmm…I must be missing something here. I managed to open the spreadsheet, but I don't understand what those settings are referring to. They don't seem to coincide with the settings contained within any of my pyro or pyrosolver nodes…?

*edit* Ahh…I see now. I was using the Billowy Smoke preset, instead of the Flames preset. I guess the only real difference is the shader that's applied…interesting…
