In the attached scene I use a point expression to get the position of a point in the object “pointgeo” and use its distance to scale copy-stamped spheres in another object called “geo1”.

It works if I change the point position in the geometry level, but not on the object level. Why is that?

I suspect there are many ways, I tend to use the transform “into this object” feature in Object Merge SOP

Thanks eetu. It works. It seems the point position needs to come from the geometry context in any case.
