how to cap a clipped poly sphere

i am clipping a polygon surface and im wondering if there is a procedural tool to cap it to make it an enclosed volume again. thanks for any help.

Try using a Divide SOP with Removed Shared Edges turned on. If the other end cap is fused to the main body this should generate a polygon from the clipped area that you can then merge back into the main chain.

Selecting an edge of the hole and applying PolyCap works for me.
