I have an Image 3D setup for using metaballs and a POP network. Everything seems to be set up right. I rendered a 30 frame test using the image3D node in ROPs. I then linked the v-textfog shader to the 30 rendered 3D texture files (making sure $F is after the file name for padding while hoping v-textfog reads all 30 files). But when I try to render the sequence, nothing shows up in mantra. However, when I link v-textfog to a specific frame of the 3D texture (the specific i3d), mantra is able to render that individual frame. How can I have mantra read the entire sequence in order to render the animated cloud/smoke.

Hey talos72,

It seems to me you got the file name wrong. Have you tried to copy & paste the path you specified in the I3D generator ROP to the VEX 3D Texture Fog shader?

Also, please check to make sure you have no space in the path or file name.

Cheers!
