Is there any way to disable the MMB number
ladder for string/path parameter fields?

It would be great to be able to MMB paste into
string fields but instead a ladder pops up to
change the first number it finds in the string….

Moreover, can the MMB wheel be disabled for
string fields? It can be far to easy to change
the path in an undesirable way.
