please somebody help me and make houdini work.

opens a houdini license administrator message dialog box
and tells a message that could not write the license to a file

you may need to make sure that Houdini has write permissions to create and write the file:
* Windows: C:\Windows\keys\licenses
* Linux: /usr/lib/sesi/licenses
* Mac: /Library/Preferences/sesi/licenses

Hi guys, i encountered the same message after using houdini11 for couple of weeks. Did a reinstall & managed to install the license successfully.

You basically will need to give everybody (ie, all - not only to Houdini per se) a permission to write into the directory with the license files. Usually installer takes care of this. But you can do it manually, by right-clicking on the directory and allowing everyone to write. The details vary between operating systems.

Thanks for the info. My houdini is fine after setting the permission thingy when the license prompt appeared after my reinstallation.
