I think i solved it, by applying the mask to the final smoothing in the surfacing node.

Hi,
Does anyone have any tips on what's the best approach to get rid of these FLIP meshing jitters when using fliptanks?
I already tried changing “influence scale” to 1 “droplet scale” to 0.8 and “ voxel scale” to 0.9 but it only made it worse up to now.

Yeah I hope so too.
This is quiet annoying and time consuming for no reason.
Do you mean that the workaround is to generate a custom mask with the guide mask node?
and give it the attribute name “whitehair” as well?
(or simply a attribute create node? initializing that attribute, therefore forcing the cook?)

Somehow I can't seem to get the whitehairs in Houdini 17 to work
Had no problems at all in 16.
Here you san see the whitehair masks (witch seems to be 100% correct in the hairgen node)
In the hair shader “whitehairs” is turned on, but every time i render it makes ALL the hairs white
somehow it seems to miss the integer mask completely.
I might be missing something here (but in Houdini 16 I never had this problem before)

Can anybody tell me if you use the randomize attribute, what the default min-max value should be of the orient attribute?
Degrees go from 0 to 360, what about the orient attribute?

Hi, When using this path object for cameras. is there still a way to manually “take over” the path animation with a null for example?.
Parenting a Null on top of the camera in the OBJ context does not take the NULL position in to acount anymore, since it has been taken over by CHOPS. (or better yet, to blend between both ways of animation)

I have, and i have H16.5 installed + the latest 3dconnexion driver V10.5.4
but in my Houdini it still does not work. (it works in other apps right now, is there something else we need to turn on to get it to work?
