Excellent, thankyou.
It seemed a little strange, maybe SideFX can reword that bit of the help documentation for clarity.
Having done a few test renders in mantra now of several hundred, one million tri trees in shot I have satisfied myself that they are working in my scene!
Thanks again!

Good evening
I have been using the file cache node to save some geometry as I go through a multi stage workflow, but I’ve just read that “If you start a render, it will always use the input geometry, ignoring this parameter.” in the help for the node.
I’m doing a fairly large scene using packed primitives for my huge forest and could do with any advantage when it comes to footprint.
Do the normal file node and geometry rop not suffer from this and get read out as is at render time?
Thanks in advance
Gavin

Hi all,
I've tried many times today to create an autorig on my windows PC, using the test geo tommy as per the masterclass. Everytime it fails to create, due to the error in the console in the attached screen grab. I've tried everything I can think of, even creating icons to try to resolve the issue but it wont work. I've tried installing the lastest production build but no joy.
Incidentally it works just fine on my MacBook- can anyone help?
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
First post and only about 50 hours into Houdini so please forgive me if i'm missing something glaringly obvious!
Is there any way to (easily) print out (on paper) a node network diagram from a project?
I am following some tutorials and would like to have a paper version to scribble notes on- sorry to be a bit old fashioned, it's how I learn!
The best i've got so far is copying and pasting into photoshop was wondering if there was an easier way?
Many thanks in advance
