So figured I'd update this for anyone running into the same issues.
Originally I thought the solution was to use a program called Midi Editor. It looked like it worked but over longer lengths the midi sequence went out of sync with the Audio. No clue why. So I decided to try other DAWs. First one was Bitwig. This seemed to lock in perfectly. It seems to be doing something that Midi Editor and even Ableton are not doing.
Export midi from Ableton.
Import midi to Bitwig.
Adjust global tempo in Bitwig to match desired tempo.
Export midi from Bitwig.
Import Bitwig midi to Houdini with Midi In.
Hopefully I won't have any more issues and this will be a solid workflow for anyone who finds this.

Experiencing the same issue. Midi and Audio are not aligning. I worked out a possibly usable but inaccurate fix of the Stretch node after the Midi In node to line up the midi notes and audio file. Manipulated Start and Length Scale. But not confident this would work for longer time frames like a minute or longer.
Pulling audio and midi from Ableton Live 10.1, no issue there on reimport to Ableton so it must be Houdini.
Anyone else experienced this, know why this is happening and a reliable fix?
