thanks for your effort. but I've been testing a lot and got similar results. and I do not like him. this is not a real cloth.

Houdini flag looks like morph between some states.
look at nCloth simple example

in example no any turbulence or noise on wind or on gravity
all curves/swirls on nCloth are the result of internal forces of of cloth themselves. wind = const
in H we have morphing cardboard (witn all that noises and other “magic”) and like something pin right top corner

already tried, but that is not real cloth
I do not know why, but all forces acting on the fabric as the water and not as air. No twists of fabric and beautiful curves. fabric looks like a piece of cardboard
(same effect if move just origin of displacement)

After watching the old masterclasses was able to do just such a flag.

I try to deal with the “Crumpling”
I found only one lesson on the subject “Masterclass Crumpling and Tearing”

of IP and the render button?no, between ip render button and Render view panel
setting the Pixel Samples to a very low number like 1,1 in Mantra/Properties/Samplingno. thats all bad quality pictures
Rendering at a smaller frame size with Mantra/Properties/Output ->Override Camera Resolution, then setting the Resolution Scale to 1/2, 1/5 etc.
i want quality and speed from Reder View
PS
mantra-render with sapmles 1*1 take more time (and look worse) than Render View panel with 3*3 and good AA!

after some test i found that attribcreate node take 3 s cook time.
but ForEach (attribute value) with material inside take only 0.5 s!

I use one mantra node for “ip” and Render View (Preview off) and Render View very fast. When i click RENDER button in mantra (ip) render take more time.
Where is difference if render use one node settings?

I have many dynamics objects in scene (like RBD point)
i want random assign mats for every object form list

mat3…
i use ForEach with Primitives/Point setting and assign random mat inside
all ok, but i have very very low speed
1 frame cooking about 15 sek in beginning
and time growing, when the geometry more complicated
How can this be optimized?

convert to Bezier Curves and enable the Interpolate Through Hulls option.but in this case Bezier still looks like corners
no more smooths between 2 points
and (i think) we loose all nurbs advantage
