I have managed to fix the issue, it was indeed the result of Houdini not being able to find some paths provided by the environment. Adding the full path of TractorAPI in PYTHONPATH as well as dateutil and pyyaml solved my problem. Updating here for future reference in case someone else might end up here while looking for an answer.
David, I have seen your answer after but thanks anyways.

What's the exact error?
Ah, sorry, the error message was in square brackets which apparently makes it invisible. Fixed it.
It's a “Error Could not find scheduler type ”tractorscheduler" error.
Though, I had this idea after posting here; I am probably missing some path(s) in the environment. Cannot yet put my finger on which one(s) but I believe that's the problem.

Hi
I am encountering an obscure error with PDG and looking for help of any sorts.
Basically, I am trying to send a set of TOPs work items to farm using tractorscheduler which works fine with H17.5 and H18(localscheduler) but when I try the same setup in H18(tractorscheduler) I am receiving a ‘Error Could not find scheduler type “tractorscheduler”’ error in tractorscheduler node.
Does anyone else encountered such thing yet? Has something changed between the versions of Houdini and I am missing something?
Any kind of help towards the direction of solution would be appreciated.
Best
Edit: added error message

Technical Discussion » QDialog leaving trail behind

Hi All
I took a look at forum for this issue but could not locate any related answer which is very strange, I must be missing an obvious point.
I am trying to call a QDialog in Houdini it seems like the dialog functionality works however it leaves a trail behind when I move the dialog window. So, I tried with a very basic shelf tool that does nothing but still have this strange behaviour.
Here is the dummy code I use.
When I change dialog.exec_() to dialog.show() the trailing issue resolves but then I loose some functionalities of QDialog.
Is that a known issue or am I missing something?
Can someone lead me towards the correct direction to get the answer?

Hi
I am back at developing for Houdini after a quiet while and trying to pick things back up. Oh my, I forgot a lot!
For instance, I was using an interesting python function in Houdini which lets you to see how a specific node can be created using Python. It was quiet helpful but I did not made a note of it and now I can neither remember nor find it back in the documentation.
Can someone help me towards the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Michael,
That was my thinking too, only couldn't be sure if they would say the same think about Houdini people, since it is working well in H15.5.
But I actually asked them and got my answer.
Anyways, thanks for the reply.

Hi folks!
First post and newbie so play easy please.
I am trying to connect Shotgun to pull some data via Houdini Python Shell. I am able to do it in H15.5 but not in H16 for some reason.
The code that I am using is the Shotgun authentication code:
from shotgun_api3 import Shotgun
PATH = 'https/*******.shotgunstudio.com'
NAME = ‘************’
KEY = ‘******************************************’
sg = Shotgun(PATH, NAME, KEY)
This works nice and well in H15.5 but in H16 I am getting the error below:
File “/usr/lib64/python2.7/httplib.py”, line 1212, in __init__
context = ssl._create_default_https_context()
AttributeError: ‘module’ object has no attribute ‘_create_default_https_context’
Does anybody has any idea? Could you lead me to the right direction?
