tamteThanks man, the second way looks heavier to compute but it easier, right
you could do some CHOP math if you care about solving it in CHOPs
but easier may be to just use Blendshape SOP to blend between original and CHOP modified P using mask attribute

Hi people!
I searched a lot before asking the question here. Got some messy old solutions...
So, how to control Jiggle/Spring/Whatever_Chop strength with my point attribute, is there some elegant solution?
Thanks!

Solaris and Karma » Render particles with Redshift in Solaris issue.

Hi people!
I suddenly discovered following bug with RS particle in Solaris.
Check out the regular scene in OBJ (rendered via RS Render View)and the same scene in Solaris (Scene Import, rendered with RS). The same Dome Light.
regular scene
Solaris scene
As you can see, Solaris particles looks weird, like half splitted spheres with strange reflection and shadows.
And here you can clearly see this parasitic "splitted" pattern.
particles on distance
BTW, Karma result look great.
So what is the problem with RS representation of particles in Solaris?
Thanks a lot!

Hey folks.
I've got a trouble when using Redshift in Solaris workflow. With standart (old?) way particles looks like normal spheres. But in Solaris via SOP_Import node my particles looks weird. Yes, if I use Copy_Point with sphere they looks good, but it's not the way to work and render particles.
Thanks guys.

Thanks protozoan. I did as you said but it doesn't help me. I tried on two video cards (geforce 250 and 780 gtx). Support service advised me download newest build of Houdini. So, i crossed my fingers.

Houdini 15 has Fatal error: Segmentation fault when trying to create parameter of subnet (wich has Polyextrude node) “from node”. In some cases i use Extrude node and it work fine. Problem have only with Polyextrude. After creating Subnet i click “+” (in Edit Parameter Interface window) to open it and Houdini have error.
