hello damian!
custom gizmos/controllers, in houdini when you create a digital asset and open “edit operator type properties” you can add custom handlers, it would be amazing to be able to see them inside unity. or at least the basic ones (translate / rotate).

you can edit multiple points but you can not scale them or rotate, the only supported operation is translate.

Hello everyone!.
I am kinda new to Houdini, i begin to study the software in december of 2014 on the site www.gametutor.com, however i also like to learn from books this kind of softwares.
Are there any books you can recommend to learn houdini? I only found books for old versions on amazon.

I am barely new to houdini too, i begin to learn it around december, i can recomend you the site www.gametutor.com, they do have amazing tutorials about houdini for games.
The workflow is very close to what you post.

I have been reading the daily release log and i get very excited when i see a unity update, however i have some feature request.
1-i have not been able to expose the paint sop inside unity. So the paint sop in unity would be one feature.
2-manipulating splines point by point is kind of slow, it would be amazing to be able to select a group of points and to be able to scale or rotate the points.
3-support for custom gizmos/controllers, unity has support for that.

i am trying to create an uv map for a sweep object, however when i apply rows and columns it gets almost fine but the uv map is streched and compressed in some points, how can i create an uniform uv map?

there is something but i fixed it with a workaround, not sure if it is worth reporting but here it is:
i want to add reaction scripts to colliders created inside houdini, however the script is added to the output game object (sorry for typo in unity), i fixed it at runtime, the script searches for the collider inside the hierarchy and instantiates itself in that game object.
not exactly a bug, but an opinion only. thanks again damian!
