I'm using a Mac Pro Quad 2.66Ghz Xeon, Geforce 7300, 5GB Ram. So far, I've only used Houdini 9.5 under OS X, though I'm planning to install linux and have a go.

What OS are you using? What build did you try using?
I thought I remember someone here on the forums had a similar problem, but I never had it happen to me. Maybe search for it in the beta area.
If nothing else, trying downloading it again, or try one of the different builds.
Good luck!

I may have found a bug in the rig. When I translate the whole rig 2.94 or more in the Z axis, the knee flips backwards.

I haven't had a chance to download the updated files, but here is an image showing what I meant by toe control. Having an avar to pivot the toe area of the foot.
Thanks for doing this, btw.

Wonderful! Thanks so much!
BTW, the ‘1leg’ file has the two legged version, while the ‘2leg’ file has both of them as posed for the image.

Yeah, thanks Jason, and everyone else who helped with the videos.
Can the next set revolve around character articulation? This is one (of many, I admit) areas where everyone who knows the skills are too busy in production to make a training product.

Imagineer has done some cool things for freelancers, where they've sold their software for 90% off to freelancers, students, or small boutiques of 2 or less artists (I think). Lots of freelancers now have copies of Monet, Mokey, etc…
Obviously support prices weren't covered by that, and so they grew their user base, and new customers could make money using their products, and later purchase support and upgrades.

Wow! I hadn't found one that worked, and I just realized that you're used it in the tutorials. I thought it was done under Windows with Camtasia. That's great to know.

This is awesome! Thanks!
I wish the download didn't take so long, though. Oh well. No worries.
Can't wait to start making more video tutorials once Houdini is available on the Mac, as there are more screen recording apps for less money than on either Windows or Linux.

Breaking out by platform tends to isolate, I find.
I agree. Perhaps, though, an optional flag/tag could be added, that would identify an os specific question/issue.

Will there be any tutorials about character setup and animation soon? Also, there is a webpage http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=899&Itemid= [sidefx.com]
that describes some videos it supposedly links to, but there is no link. Do these videos exist yet? Thanks
