Hi, I am trying to use the chop switcher in the channel editor ( not for a particular purpose, but in order to be aware of what I can do with it.. ) and I feel the fe lines about it in the help not very clear ( maybe it is my english ). At first I though it allowed you to overide keys with a CHOP, but nothing happens. anyone could help me about it?

here is what is said about this in the help pdf file: maybe I missed something:

“CHOP SWITCHER
A switcher changes the channel editor (T:V:A options, to reveal options interactive modiÞcation of keyframe data from a CHOP source. To use this feature, you first specify a CHOP node to update from. The export name of the track must match the scoped channel exactly. Then, the Live button must be enabled. After that, whenever the CHOP data of the matching track changes, the selected keys will be relatively moved. In between CHOP track data changes, different keys may be selected.”

It doesn't let you override keys. What it does is *move* keys such that they follow your CHOP data changes in realtime.

well, I am sorry, but I still cannot make it work.
could you have a look at this little hip file where I try to use this feature?
and it also seems that you cannot select a CHOP which is in a subnet in an other place than “/ch”. if you create a chopnet in you geo object, for instance, I don't see how you can use it from here…maybe there is something that I did not get…

the hip file is at this adress:

thanks in advance…

It's a current limitation of this feature that it is restricted to nodes only underneath /ch. I think the main problem is because you don't have constantly changing CHOP data. Try using the Mouse CHOP or something.
