disk cache and chops

hi!

I ran into a slight problem:

i have a network with 600 scattered points as end result, now i'm writing this to disk as a bgeo seqence.

I want to modify the point positions with CHOPS (jiggle), but what is interesting that geometry chop is getting an error when i try to use it from a file SOP, if i connect it to the end of my network it is working.

I'm caching the points to spped up the whole thing, and i use animated channels on the geometry chop and the also on the channel SOP.

Any idea why the geometry chop does not like the file SOP?

oh sorry, it seems that my “start-END” was not trimmed to the range in the geometry chop.

sorry, ignore

for others … normally the easiest way to set up the geometry CHOP is with frames instead of seconds (because that's the nature of the shot etc).

with the Geometry CHOP .. if you are using frames it will err if it starts at frame 0. So, if the method is frames instead of seconds set to

start frame, normally 1
end frame.

Change it to frames from seconds before adjusting (increasing) the numbers or you'll be capturing geometry for a very long time

Actually, I ran to that problem too, is there a way to get the default to Frame and Start to 1, when I put the CHOP down?
