nurbs surface quality during render

Is there any way I could control how mantra PBR subdivides the nurbs surface during rendering. I would like to bring down quality of some of the nurbs objects objects in the scene, how can I do that? Also it looks like shading quality controls works only for micropoly (shading quality) and raytracing (ray shading quality). Am I right?

I know that you can control the lod attribute for OpenGL with AttribCreateSOP but I don’t know how to pass it to Mantra.
