Some .obj files will import without issue and others will not. Is there a polygon limit for Apprentice? Any ideas would be helpful. Attached is the obj file which was created in Hexagon 2 and an image of the error. Thanks

I just installed 9.5.379 and was able to load up this .obj file with no issue that version 10.0.249.3 choked on.

Hi,

Not sure why 9.5.xxx Import code is more robust but the space in the filename is causing the problem. If you rename the file to abc_block.obj or abcBlock.obj, it will be imported properly into Houdini 10.

If possible, try to avoid spaces in filenames.

Cheers!

I just want to update this thread with the following journal entry.
Houdini 10.0.264: Fixed bug where the File > Import > Geometry menu item did not import filenames containing spaces.

Cheers!
