Vertex Numbers?

Hi guys, just came across a problem when I was fusing two polygonal object together, the edges have the same number of points, but when I try to fuse them, the polygons next to the fused edge seem to show that their normals have been flipped, part of the polygons are blackened. Same thing when the subdivide OP is applied. I;ve tried various methods, using Polystitch, using Join etc, and I can seem to get a clean seam.

I was thinking that it could have been something to do with the vertex numbering when the fuse OP is working on the two edges.

Any suggestions to resolve this?

This sounds like the problem I have been experiencing. Heres my solution, that I got with help from SideFX guys(thanx btw).

Merge two meshes using Merse SOP. Append Attribute SOP and put N in the Delete Attribute under Point tab. Append Fuse SOP.
This ‘should’ work.

Try also appending a Facet SOP after your Fuse and turn on “Orient Polygons”
