Quick question, how does one remove the black property from the soccer ball platonic? I tried a point sop but that didn't work as it still renders black?

that seems to be a Primitive attribute not a Point one ( middle-click on it to see that ) .

add a Primitive sop and manipulate its Color at your wish .

in my screenshot ; i simply removed color attribute from every primitive .
