Hi there,

I have flickering problems while rendering fur. That appears only when using textures in the fur shader… Seems the texture jumps around.
Nearly bucket size big. (Expanding cvex shader bound seem not to help)

Geoemtry deforms! … (uvs, and and a rest sop is applied).
No lights

Any help or hint would be very welcome!

tmdag thanks for your suggestions…but sampling increasing seems not to fix it.

A close-up rendering shows the preoblem pretty clearly…
But am not able to solve the issue that some of the fur strand seem not be able to catch the UV information…and causing wrong wired shading behavior.

Here are frame 3 and 4.

Try increasing shading quality if rendering with MP.

After a couple of days struggling I find out where the flickering issue comes from. I simplified the scene more and more, and find that its not a commen alasing problem, its caused somehow between an imported geometry from another package and cvex fur procedural. So would say its a damn bug.

Enclosed is a test scene:

Simple Fur workflow that should render red hairs….with cvex.
Imported geo causes randomly spread white hairs in between the red ones.

Again any suggestions on this are more than welcome!!!
