I am playing with rbd and dynamic fracturing.
I am launching a sphere against a box and the box fractures itself to several pieces …
But now I would like the box stay on the ground. I would like the bottom of my box to be static and only the upper part to be fractured.
I suppose there is sevral way to do it but for the moment I just can't figure how it works.
Thanks for your help

one way to do this would be to prefracture the box into 2 pieces before the sim. use a sphere with a mountain on it or some other way to get an interesting shape, and then cookie the box using it. make the bottom cookied chunk into a static object and make the top piece an rbd object with autofracture.

thanks for your answer zdimaria.
I made some after I wrote rhis post and made exactly waht you said.
Now I have a new problem.
The part of the wall I would like to break has a “tube” shape and when I start the sim, this object start to move because of the gravity node. I would like to trigger the gravity node for the rdbobject only when the dynamic fracturing begins. I saw the dynamic group node but I can't figure how to change the value of it. I suppose there is a way to detect when the fracture begins and create an attribute with it … or with impact …
Thanks again
