I'm new to Houdini. I've been trying to follow the intro tutorials on the website. I'm using Houdini 12 and I'm unable to find the line SOP. Has it been merged with any other operator in the latest release ?

Line SOP is there for me.

Can you tab-type line while in a SOP Geometry network pane?

Note that the Line Tool isn't set up to be tab-type added in the viewport, although that is more than possible btw.

these are the only items that show up when i type line
Is there an alternative for line..I tried curve..I need to be able to increase points on the line to a very large number. I'm trying to follow Ari Danesh's digital asset creation tutorial.

You're inside the worong context (obj).
Create a geometry node, dive in (double click). Now you're inside the geometry (sop) context. Now hit TAB again…
