Are there any ways that we can use H 11,
I have tremendous problems in using H12 to work on my files done in H 11,
I believe there are serious problem in comparability between H 11 and H 12.
Can any one help me.
Sidefx blocked using all the previous versions.

you can also try in the command line with wget <link> or some ftp client. and connect to ftp.sidefx.com

also you might try to “ping ftp.sidefx.com” in the command line and see if you get a reply at all. else you might need to send an email to support and ask them.

I downloaded H 11.
But, there is NO license that I can install.
How can I use H11 trial version without installing license

H11 should run with an apprentice license. Just install, launch and provide your forum id and password to fetch the license and go.

I did try it But, I still can not open H 11
It prompt “Install Valid License.”
Tried to install the licenses.
But, It can not be connected to the server.
There is No Valid license to install.
Id & Password box are greyed out.
Can you help me further?

here's a quick guess.

Run “HKey” (the Houdini License Admin Tool) and take a careful look at the output from View->Diagnostic Information option. Does it say you are using the locally embedded license validator, or hserver/sesinetd? You might need to change it to be local. Depending on which Operating System you're using, this can be changed manually by editing a txtfile (via Houdini Shell) called

$HFS/houdini/Licensing.opt

If you have:

licensingMode = sesinetd

try commenting-it-out & changing it to:

# licensingMode = sesinetd
licensingMode = localValidator

not sure this will solve the issue; it's just a suggestion.
be prepared to undo this mod!
