FEM solver copy issue

i'm trying to copy my FEM solid object while the sim runs.

i just have a copy sop with the expression $F in the “number of copies” parameter.

if you click on the copy sop, you can see the $F number of copies of the FEM solid object. if you click on the dopimport1 node, it seems like the copies don't trickle down the network.

what am i doing wrong?

Anyone have a guess?

It's just a default shelf fem network. The only thing I added is the copy sop.

This works if I have a rbd solver, just not with a fem solver.

not sure what you want to do to be honest.

if you want to emit more than one fem object, the emission frame on the node seems to be set to the frame you want to emit an object.

i want to modify the mesh during the sim (ie add tets)

i'm not sure i understand. where is the emission frame parameter?

is this impossible because the FEM solver just refuses to update the incoming or rest geometry?

i do see there is a creation tab for the solid object dynamics node, but i haven't been able to make that work properly. i keep seeing geo for each frame of the sim.

You should be able to introduce new geometry during the sim using a SOP solver.

Doesn't work with SOP solver unfortunately.
