when you create an attribute from the attribute create sop. how come you cant access it through other sop? except when grouping or deleting? hope this makes sence..

for example if you wanted to translate a point using the create attribute, why cant you just put the attribute just created in the ty parameter..

Just promote that point attribute to Detail to use it in Translate expression.
