Here is your file fixed…here is what I did.

Cleaned up your geo network and added in a normal, rest position and cusped the vertexes.

Fed your concrete into a luminance (one could also use a vec to float) and piped that into amount in the Displace Along Normals.

Added in a displacement bound parameter through edit parameter interface onto the object at the object level. You need to specify the displacement bound in the shader as well as on the object to be displaced. You had only done this on the shader.

I swapped out your sun and sky for a distant light for speed…

One thing that I always do to preview the tone of the displacement is connect whatever I will use for displacement to the cf on the output to render it.

hi sl0throp,
thank you very much for your help.

but i have a problem with your file..
i can’t render.
I have message:
Error: Command Exit Code: 1073741819
UT_NetPacket:: Read: No such file or Directory

This appear only when i connect luminance node to “Displacenml2->amount”

Do you have an idea?

thank you very much
